You only get one life

Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. | Philippians 1:27 (NLT)

As Paul writes showing his love for all Christians he highlights that we need to keep God at the centre of our thoughts, within our hearts and in our prayers.

As we live our lives through our Christian walk we must learn to concentrate on the things that God finds important.

It should be our desire to grow our faith in God, building our relationship with him through both prayer and worship. As I contemplate this verse I find myself knowing that I need to do more.

I need to turn away from life in the flesh.

Thinking about my actions, not allowing myself to be dragged into situations around me, ignoring gossip and drama for things that do not serve me. It is sometimes hard to remember not to waste time with idle chit chat and gossip.

So how do I work on this??

I pray.

Making a conscious effort to spend more time in prayer - not wasting hours of my day.

Building the relationship with my Father and taking the time to listen - listen for the response, listen for guidance, listen to the answers he shares.

Welcoming the Holy Spirit into my life and ultimately being thankful for all that is provided in my life and remaining humble in my walk.

As Christians we should share the gospel, speaking the word of God - bringing others to their salvation. Showing them the light.

There is nothing better than reaching someone and showing them what the Lord can offer them as they choose to walk with Him. Being forgiven for sin and beginning to repent for our previous actions.

As I contemplate how I conduct myself I know I need to learn it is such an important part of my life, so I study.

Reading and researching my Bible.

Spending quality time with my Father and enjoying this time as I learn and soak up his word. I am increasing my knowledge and this helps me become a better Christian

Spending time with others fellowshipping and learning from them as we share experiences and this helps me with my walk in a manner suitable for someone who when the time comes enters heaven being proud of the life I have walked being a child of God.
